Cyprus Space Office Launches Cluster of Excellence

The Cyprus Space Office (CSO) is to host a new Space Cluster of Excellence for the mediterranean region. The Space Cluster of Excellence will be facilitated by the CSO to support the growing number of organisations in Cyprus dedicated to advances in Space technology and the development of Space applications.
We envisage to develop a strong cluster to promote economic growth through leveraging innovation and business potential in the region. New employment opportunities, new products and services, new companies, new R&D activities and new patents will be the result of activities within the cluster.
Cyprus enters the race for the Moon with Google Lunar X PRIZE

Cyprus has entered a $30 million competition to land a robot on the Moon by the end of 2015. The newly launched Cyprus Space Office is the newest team member of Synergy Moon, a private space company competing in the Google Lunar X PRIZE
